The Awards recognize individuals and institutions through the following selection process
Identification of Candidates
In collaboration with our wide networks of Civil society organizations, partners, experts and stakeholders across Africa, we identify potential candidates who have made exceptional contributions to sustainability. This is done through research, recommendations and direct knowledge through individuals and institutions.
Evaluation Criteria
We consider factors such as the impact and measurable outcome of their leadership, innovation, research, policy, community engagement and long-term sustainability efforts.
Assessment
A Selection Committee of experts reviews the profiles and achievements of the identified candidates based on the established evaluation criteria. They conduct thorough assessments to ensure a fair and inclusive evaluation process.
Selection and Deliberation
The Selection Committee engages in deliberations to consider the merits of each candidate and collectively decide on the final award recipients through consensus or a voting process.
Awards Announcement
Once the award recipients have been chosen, they will be publicly announced and recognized as (Africa Sustainability Outliers). This declaration is made at the Africa Sustainability Outliers awards the announcement will highlight the achievements and contributions of the individuals and institutions and spotlighted globally to inspire others and celebrate their impactful work.
